Meet Evariste born Feb 9th 2016.
Hey was in a hurry too. 5 and a half hours of labor. Only had to push 6 times for him to come out. He was born before the doctor got to the hospital. Took less than 15 mins to be born.
Every one is perfect and healthy. He is a big boy 7lbs and 15.2 oz. 21 inches long.

Congrats! On a separate note, Evariste definitely sounds like a new Land Rover model or a pretentious champagne.

God help me. I discovered new levels of sleep deprivation in the first month of their life. I can’t imagine doing it with three.

On top of that, their older brother was on 17 months old when they were born. Let’s just say phase 1 of Project Child Hell was a study in the Henry Ford school of parenting ... everything was a production line ;)

Wow. Were y’all on fertility drugs? We had to try like hell with our first, but our twins were completely out of the blue. I’m fond of saying that I wanted two kids, but instead I got two more.

Sort of. My wife had a super irregular cycle she had to take a drug (I can’t remember which) to regulate. It regulated the shit out of it, sufficed to say.

As the American Acadians might say today:
Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!
Congratulations, sir, and welcome to the Jalopnik Parenting Club :D

Clomid? That’ll do it.

Thats right. We had lost one early last year and it took us over 3 years to conceive. This little guy is perfect so its all good now.

I think so ... are they pills? That does sound familiar. It’s been 19 years, though.

He’s got a bit of a scullet going on. He’s gonna need a hair cut soon to even it out.

I don’t remember either. That was almost 14 years ago. I just remember that she had to take pills or a shot, then we had a three or four day window to make it happen. I was already 35 years old by then (my wife was 33), so “doing it as much as you can over three days” was a whole lot more difficult than when I was 25.

Haha ... Needs a Yackety Sax overdub ;)
Also, this is how Parental PTSD is triggered.

How old are your kids now? In my parenting experience, it never gets easier or harder. It just gets different.

It gets physically easier and mentally impossible harder. My son is 20 (he’s a sophomore at Cal), the girls are 19 (one is a freshman at Davis, another at Brandeis, and the third is a senior in HS (she spent her junior year abroad - and came back to do it again, lol).

Wow. Mine are 13, 10 and 10. I’m ready for them to move out.

I was a weepy wreck after we dropped my son of for his first year at Cal. I was completely over it when the girls went away this year. I’m literally counting the days until the fall when the last one finally leaves. That said, once the nest actually IS empty I’ll probably turn into a weepy old woman again for a spell. Then again, maybe not.

just realised , he’s 9 years younger than my nephew who is born on that day too.
